The Hayward Gallery is to open until 10pm every day from Monday to accommodate demand to see the hit Antony Gormley show Blind Light.
More than 150,000 people have seen the exhibition, which has a luminous glass room filled with a dense mist cloud as its centrepiece.
The show continues outside with 31 sculptures of Gormley's body on pavements and roofs. It is the most visited exhibition of a living artist in the gallery's 39 years. Michael Lynch, chief executive of the Southbank Centre, which runs the Hayward, said: "This exhibition captured the public's imagination." It runs until Sunday 19 August.
