Simon Evans
One of our great unsung gagsmiths is finally breaking through after appearing on Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow. Stand-up fans will recognise Evans - he's the aloof one with the unashamedly well-spoken voice: "My accent may be rather unfamiliar to some of you. Until tomorrow, Soho Theatre, W1 (020 7478 0100, sohotheatre.com)
Gary Delaney
Birmingham-based Delaney is a Twitter superstar, firing out perfectly formed funnies for his army of followers. He is also pretty good at telling them onstage. He pushes the taste barrier at times but excels at precision-tooled wordplay: "As a kid I was made to walk the plank. We couldn't afford
a dog."
Until tomorrow, Funny Side of Covent Garden, WC2 (0870 446 0616, thefunnyside.info)
