Comedy rapper fails to save dismal follow-up

Ice Cube as a comedian? Surely, some mistake? No - that's what the gangsta rapper-turned actor tries to be in this excruciatingly flabby follow-up to Are We There Yet?

Now married to Suzanne (Nia Long), he buys a suburban home to escape the rat race. John C McGinley, overacting furiously, sells it to him and also doubles as a building contractor when the whole place begins to fall down.

Terrible things happen on the way to the film's happy ending. Almost none of them are funny.

Are We Done Yet?
