North Face is an astonishing true story

In the summer of 1936, when it was the dream of mountain climbers all over to conquer the highly dangerous North Face of the Eiger, two young Germans set out, supported by the Nazis as propaganda tools, to climb the mountain.

They had inadequate clothing and equipment and, halfway up, had to come to the aid of two Austrians in trouble behind them.

This is their story, all the more astonishing because it is true and shot with some flair in Philipp Stölzl’s film.
