Redford to attend London film festival
14 September 2007
All three stars will fly into Britain for the film, Lions For Lambs, which is partly set in Afghanistan. It is one of 184 movies to be shown during the two-week festival in October.
Sienna Miller, Ben Affleck, Halle Berry and Sean Penn will also attend.
Directors at the 51st festival include Michael Moore, with Sicko, his indictment of the American health service, and Ang Lee, with Lust, Caution, which has just won the Golden Lion award in Venice.
David Cronenberg's new drama, Eastern Promises, starring Viggo Mortensen and Naomi Watts and set in contemporary London, opens the festival on 17 October.
The festival's artistic director Sandra Hebron said many filmmakers this year showed "an urgent need to engage with world events".
