Should back down

Jeff Wadlow’s film stars Sean Faris as an American footballer at some ghastly college where girls in bikinis like nothing better than to gather round two men beating each other into unconsciousness in what are known as mixed martial art contests. They "oh!" and "ah!" as the blood flows and then make eyes at the winners.

Cam Gigandet is the nasty psycho who persuades the innocent athlete into a fight and badly beats him up.

This is macho nonsense masquerading as a semi-philosophical tract about winning and losing in life. The only person who comes out of it in one piece is Djimon Hounsou, honourably dignified as the veteran fighter who trains our hero.
