If you want to see a tour de force of a performance, run towards French director Michel Spinosa's striking psychological thriller.

Isabelle Carré plays the mentally unstable young stalker who falls for Gilbert Melki's happily married doctor and thus ruins his life.

Spinosa's film is stylish and careful not to over-dramatise.

Carré's performance is little short of superb, gradually turning the screw so that a character who first seems an innocent if confused girl becomes a raging harpie believing in her own absurd fantasies of love and seduction.
