José González set to explore new terrain

José González will perform with the maverick 20-strong orchestral collective The Gothenburg String Theory at the Barbican Hall on April 11 in a collaboration that promises to explore new and exciting terrain.

The Gothenburg String Theory is one of Sweden's most visionary art music collectives and sees some of Berlin and Gothenburg's most vibrant contemporary musicians join forces.

Together they have undertaken numerous collaborations to create innovative multi-media art projects.

The ensemble's bold instrumental textures should take González's beautifully introspective song writing and expressive performance into fresh territory.
