06 St Chad's Place

Description: In the back streets near King's Cross, right by a tube line, this stunning contemporary conversion of former industrial premises comes as a real surprise. By day (when the glazed roof is a particular benefit), the place is a bright café/bar/restaurant -- by night, this becomes a serious bar (and one which feels all the better for its recherché location).

I like this place. Tucked away from what was once a very grotty Kings Cross this is a little haven. It can get quite busy but the buzz is good and everyone alway seems very friendly. The toilets are a challenge to find on the first visit but it's good fun watching others trying to find the door in the mural on the back wall once you've discovered it.

Overall a good place for a drink. The decor's very modern and well worth a visit.
