Description: Almost solely responsible for turning Brick Lane into a place to be seen, rather than just somewhere for a late-night curry, this large venue (with a courtyard garden that quickly fills up in summer) draws a young and funky, lager-fuelled crowd. Mismatched décor -- with uneven wooden flooring, Gothic iron chairs and a large mural on one wall -- adds to the rather self-consciously cutting-edge feel.
