The Audley Description: The Audley is a smart yet down to earth pub attended by business men. The interior of this building is more like a gentlemen's club than a pub with its wooden panelling and chandeliers. The bar serves food but there is also a restaurant upstairs which offers a full menu. They can cater for private parties of up to 100 people and provide outside seating on the terrace.

Fine place for a civilised pint

Grand: The Audley doesn't disappoint on the drink front

Look here too

The grand building that houses this pub is a fine complement to its handsome interior. In a classy area such as Mayfair, you'd expect things to be grander than the norm and the Audley does not disappoint.

Bedecked with chandeliers, fine decoration and topped with a magnificent mahogany clock, this pub provides an elegant setting for almost any social occasion.

The pub doesn't disappoint on the drink front either, with a good range of beers on the hand pumps (including regular guests) and all the usual wines and spirits you'd expect of such a place.

The atmosphere is civilised and friendly - you wouldn't expect anything else in these parts - and there's a reasonable range of traditional pub grub.

The only downside, and it's a minor one, is this pub's a fixture on the tourist trail and you'll often encounter groups of uncomfortable, sometimes unhappy-looking people in here, often around mealtimes, which makes for a less than relaxed atmosphere. At other times though, this is a very fine place for a civilised pint or two.

Now this is what I call a pub. Even in changing times it doesn' disappoint. Good staff, excellent food, reasonably priced pints (considering its location) and it doesn't even resemble any of the all too common "gastro-pubs."
Long may it continue trading!
