Kitchen W8
Too long and drawn out but very entertaining with excellent special effects
This is a peculiar play and does not work for me. Some of it is very funny but there are real flaws
Alex has a strong powerful voice and was faultless, she is far better now than she was on the X-Factor

For a long time, we've had the impression that the Compton Arms likes to think is somewhere out in the wilds of Surrey or Sussex and come to that, the locals seem to, too. But that's OK with us.
The Compton certainly does look after its beer really well, with an extensive and ever-changing range of bitters on the hand pumps ready for your delectation. But you need to get in early, it is a tiny place that fills up very, very easily, although the street outside and the compact beer garden at the back do help to cope with the overflow.
To complement the excellent beer, there's decent traditional pub grub - with Sunday roasts a speciality. With friendly service and a broad mix of punters, The Compton Arms offers the sort of traditional pub atmosphere you won't find on the nearby Upper Street and that's probably why it's so popular.
