Not that funny at The Comedy
29 May 2009
An archetypal West End tourist pub, this one blends in with a part of town that abounds in cheap pizza stalls and Steakhouses.
It's made up of three floors, though it's often a bit of a lottery as to which ones are open, as the upstairs is more often than not hired out for office leaving parties and the basement bar is for comedy and bands.
That leaves the ground floor, where the drink is a pretty much lowest-common-denominator offering of the kind you'd expect in these tourism-heavy parts.
No real ale, just gas-propelled and bottled generic stuff and run-of-the-mill pub grub.
It a handy enough pub if you're in the West End, especially on a Saturday afternoon, if you're up for watching a bit of sport - there are plenty of screens around the place, but it's hardly one to go out of your way for.
