Kitchen W8 is a bargain for this area, if such sophistication is what you crave
Kitchen W8
Too long and drawn out but very entertaining with excellent special effects
This is a peculiar play and does not work for me. Some of it is very funny but there are real flaws
Alex has a strong powerful voice and was faultless, she is far better now than she was on the X-Factor
London,

The Rising Sun is situated down Carter Lane - an alley between Ludgate Hill and Queen Victoria Street that has a Dickensian, if not medieval feel.
The pub is quite fetching on the outside, but the inside it's a single large drinking room with a bar thrust into the centre.
It has a massive projection screen so it gets the footy crowd in on key nights but that's in keeping with the pub's boisterous atmosphere.
There's a reasonable range of bitters and the Guinness is well kept as well as the usual lagers etc, you'd expect in a pub like this.
Upstairs there is more - the Malai Thai restaurant.
The food is good, the service prompt and courteous in the upstairs room and it's all very reasonably priced - especially for the City.
Lunchtimes is pretty busy so it's worth ringing (020 7236 2634), and closes early some evenings, although it will often be standing room only towards the end of the week. A definite stop on a St. Paul's to Blackfriars pub crawl.
