There was further upheaval in the Big Brother house last night as the four members of the Halfway House had to choose four housemates from the official house to replace them.

Amy, Jonty and Liam sat at the table with Ziggy as he revealed that they were all leaving the Halfway House for the official House, unaware that the housemates in the living area were watching them on the giant plasma screen.

The four plunged in straightaway and Jonty said: "My first choice would be David. Not that I've got anything against him, but he's got a little bit of an over-confident thing going on."

His thought was supported by Amy who said: "He's my gut choice." However, in a more diplomatic move, the four opted to replace themselves with all the original halfway housemates. This left them to choose one original housemate to make up the numbers.

Once again the housemates took a diplomatic approach. Jonty asked Liam and Ziggy, "Which housemate do you think would be most likely to survive if they were up for eviction?"

Liam replied assuredly: "I think Tracey because she has survived three, she's confident and we know that the crowd like her." Their decision made, Ziggy then confirmed the names of the four chosen housemates: "David, Kara-Louise, Shanessa and Tracey."

Showing his familiarity with Big Brother's tricks, Liam added: "Tracey, you'll be fine", possibly aware that the housemates were watching theif decision process from the official house.

"Sorry to the rest," he continued, "but you've gotta understand that we've all been here together for ages." In the Big Brother house, Tracey looked furious. She was consoled by the twins. Kara-Louise promptly burst into tears, as did Jonty.

The four new halfwayers were all up for nomination, facing possible eviction on Friday.

Last week Charley was the sixth person to be evicted from the Big Brother house with 85.6% of the vote.
