Touchy feely: Ziggy successfully identified Chanelle

Oh my god: Chanelle prepares for her brief return to the BB house

Four Big Brother housemates faced a difficult decision last night when they were told to choose two people for an eviction vote as a punishment for discussing nominations.

Sam and Amanda Marchant, Brian Belo and Jonty Stern were called to the diary room and told they had to choose two people out of Carole Vincent, Ziggy Lichman and Liam McGough to face eviction. The trio had broken house rules by discussing nominations.

"I can't," whimpered Amanda. "We can't do it. Sorry," said Brian, looking genuinely shocked. Big Brother simply replied: "Nominating is not optional."

The four housemates finally chose Carole and Ziggy, saying they had started the conversation about nominations.

Big Brother then told them that the nominations meant nothing and the punishment for Carole, Ziggy and Liam had been to watch the nominations on the lounge's plasma screen.

The twins looked relieved but Brian seemed slightly annoyed and asked: "What was all that about?"

The latest twist came as housemates celebrated passing the Saturday Night Out Obstacle Course Task, devised by Liam and Brian.

The obstacle course included hitting the dance floor, downing a pint, chatting up a blow-up doll and scoffing a kebab.

As the show heads towards its climax on Friday, the housemates were given a surprise visit from former housemate Chanelle Hayes who walked out after a row with on-off boyfriend Ziggy.

As part of a quiz, Ziggy and Carole were given blindfolds to wear while identifying a visitor by touch alone.

Ziggy quickly guessed it was Chanelle. He then told her: "I've wanted to see you; this is one of the strangest things ever."

He hesitantly asked if it's "worth talking when I get out". Chanelle replied "If you want to" before being told to leave the house.

The twins are currently favourites to win the show according to Ladbrokes. Sam and Amanda, 19, are 2/5 to win while Brian is second favourite at 2/1. Liam is third favourite at 12/1.

Ladbrokes spokesman Nick Weinberg, said: "As far as punters are concerned it's a straight fight between the twins and Brian. Liam's fallen by the wayside."
