Basic rations annoy housemates

Having already quarrelled over cookies earlier in the day, a packet of chocolate digestives led to the group having their luxury groceries budget taken away from them.

The biscuits were consumed by the hungry group earlier in the day, despite having been instructed to return all food to Big Brother last Thursday.

Carole was given the "devastating" news shortly after dinner. Having been called to the diary room, she was told: "Today you left the living room, entered the bedroom, and returned to the living area with a packet of chocolate digestives."

The 53-year-old Londoner confessed. She said: "Well they were hidden ages and ages ago, at the back where Nicky had had the pepper sauce.

"I didn't realise they were there when I took all my stuff out. "When I went back and moved stuff and they were there. And I took them and put them in the back of the drawer and they remained there. The task was over and they were craving stuff so I brought them out."

She added: "I could have left them and waited until our shopping came and put them with that. But I didn't. So that's that."

But Big Brother was having no excuses and took away the luxury grocery budget the housemates had won in this week's task as punishment.

Former boyband pin-up Ziggy took the news badly. Storming into the diary room, he ranted: "I'll be honest. My time here is going to be limited. I know you don't give a s***. I haven't eaten. I'm a lad. I need to eat. I don't understand all this p***ing around with food."

Earlier in the day biscuits were the cause of a separate brouhaha, when bickering between the group threatened to boil over.

They were discussing how to spend their luxury food budget before being told that it was to be taken away.

Shopping list supremo Carole set to work on the weekly groceries order.

"Get a jar of cookies," heckled Brian as he tried to wrestle some control from the the 53-year-old Londoner.

Getting no reply, he stormed out of the living area and into the garden. It was then former boyband heartthrob Ziggy's turn to try and enter the shopping list deliberations.

After a short and terse conversation about the price of apples he too walked out to the garden. Outside, Brian was still seemingly fuming from his grub snub.

"Amanda asked me to write down the list," said Brian, "and then Carole was like 'Well no, we need Jonty to do it'.

"What's the point of even trying to get involved in the shopping list?"

"Just be calm mate," said Liam, "Try and keep chilled." "It's a nightmare man," added Ziggy.

Brian continued to protest: "I've never once sat down to do the shopping list.

"I'm sorry I can't add up. I just wanna have noodles. Noodles and kebabs."

In light of the decision by Big Brother to take away the luxury budget, it appears noodles and kebabs will be off the menu for at least another week.
