Jonathan quits BB after family loss
03 July 2007
Big Brother bosses called him into the diary room to inform him of the news and after an emotional goodbye with his fellow housemates, the 49-year-old left the house.

On his departure, he told Brian in the garden: "You get to know people bleeding quick in here. It's been a blast."
Brian replied: "It's been great having you in here, mate."
Liam said: "It will be mental waking up to him not being here. He was one of the biggest parts of this."
A Channel 4 spokesman said: "Big Brother called Jonathan to the Diary Room to inform him that his grandmother had passed away.
"Jonathan informed his fellow housemates, who were naturally upset for him and offered him all the support they could.
"At 12.15am Jonathan entered the Diary Room for a final chat where he thanked Big Brother for the experience he'd had in the house. He then left the Diary Room and was taken to his family."
Despite admitting that he had never watched Big Brother, Jonathan postponed his wedding this summer so he could enter the house.
Last week the father-of-two said he was going to quit the show, highlighting a number of items he had put on hold or "risked" to join the reality show.
He follows Lesley as the second housemate to depart show of their own accord.
