UK to blame as battery supplier loses power

Electrocomponents, which supplies batteries, cables and power tools to engineers around the world, saw a sharp decline in sales growth in January.
Although its revenues rose 4% in the four months to February, mainly thanks to US and Asian demand, January's sales growth slowed to 1%.
Part of the blame must lie with the UK, where sales were flat last month.
Chief executive Ian Mason said: "The implementation of our electronics, maintenance and eCommerce initiatives is driving business performance Being mindful of economic conditions, we continue to keep tight control of costs.
"We are well positioned to take advantage of the structural growth opportunities available to us internationally in highly fragmented markets."
