Joseph St Denis, vice president of accounting policy at AIG Financial Products, claimed he was "berated several times" by Cassano, who "shouted obscenities" at him after he raised concerns about inaccurate valuation models that understated potential losses on investments.

"I have deliberately excluded you from the valuation...because I was concerned that you would p ollute the process," St Denis claimed Cassano told him.

"My belief is that the pollution Cassano was concerned about was the transparency I brought to AIGFP's accounting policy process," St Denis told Congress last year.

He said he resigned in October 2007 because "Cassano took actions that I believed were intended to prevent me from performing the job duties for which I was hired". St Denis also said AIG management was "scared to death" of Cassano.
