Lupus rebuffs ex-boss Greg Hutchings

Lupus Capital today hammered home the message that former chairman Greg Hutchings is not wanted by appointing a new chief executive.

Earlier this week Mr Hutchings, who was ousted from the investment firm last year and was previously removed from the helm of engineer Tomkins, launched a second attempt to return to the business as chief executive.

He still owns 11 per cent of Lupus and wrote to shareholders claiming his knowledge of the firm could not "be rivalled by an outside appointment". He also suggested a third boss in six months would damage the business.

But the board appointed Louis Eperjesi, formerly executive director at building group Kingspan. He will take over from interim chief executive Keith Taylor.
