Omega plans a step up from AIM

LLOYD'S of London insurer Omega is raising between £50 million and £125 million and moving from AIM to join the big boys.

The property and marine firm is issuing new shares to bring in cash so that it can write more business on Lloyd's Syndicate 958. It will join the main market on 7 July.

Chairman Walter Fiederowicz said the move "will assist in broadening access to Omega's domestic and international investors".
