Top Thorntons job goes to Caffe Nero man

Thorntons unveiled a new chief executive today, poaching Jonathan Hart from Caffè Nero.

He will replace Mike Davies, who retired in May. Finance chief Mark Robson had been running the business. He will revert to his old job once Hart arrives in January.

Thorntons chairman John von Spreckelsen said: "Jonathan brings a wealth of relevant experience from the retail and consumer goods sectors."
