Catch some of the biggest Edinburgh-bound acts in London this week, including Brendon Burns, Stephen Grant, Reginald D Hunter, Chopper Reid and Russell Howard.

Chopper
Riverside Studios, W6
A mini-London run for this Australian act before it heads to Edinburgh. Chopper Reid is an outspoken, outrageous motivational speaker, somewhere between Al Murray's barnstorming Pub Landlord and Barry Humphries's lecherous Les Patterson. Expect the political incorrectness knob to be turned up to 11 for this one.
(020 7237 1111). Fri 27 July, 7.30pm & 9.30pm. Sat 28 July 9.30pm.

Russell Howard
Canal Cafe, W2
This quick-witted Bristolian picked up an if.comedy nomination last year and his mix of friendly audience interaction and feelgood storytelling could do even better this year. On a good night, Howard is one of the best young stand-ups around. If you like Ross Noble or Daniel Kitson make a beeline for the similarly gifted Howard.
(020 7289 6054). Sat 28 July, 9.30pm.

Rhona Cameron
Menier Chocolate Factory, SE1
Not quite old enough to be a veteran returning to her roots, but it is good to see Cameron back onstage doing what first made her famous. Forget the I'm A Celebrity... digression, Cameron is a smart, sharp stand-up, as well as a useful footballer and golfer.
(020 7907 7060) Sunday 29 and Mon 30 July, 8pm.
