New Moon is nothing if not an international advertisement for the hungry virtues of virginity and young people can’t get enough of it

Kitchen W8
Too long and drawn out but very entertaining with excellent special effects
This is a peculiar play and does not work for me. Some of it is very funny but there are real flaws
Alex has a strong powerful voice and was faultless, she is far better now than she was on the X-Factor

Russell Howard was nominated for the if.comeddie Award at last year's Fringe
Russell Howard is like a five-year-old with ADHD who's overdosed on Haribo. The affable Bristolian jumps from subject to subject at such speed that watching him is exhausting.
Nominated for the if.comeddie Award at last year's Fringe, this year's offering Adventures, should cement Howard's reputation.
Howard's observational humour is hardly groundbreaking, covering such staples as the War on Terror, George Bush and porn.
But he makes familiar territory appear as virgin ground with his vivid turn of phrase ('there are so many people who want to dance on Bush's grave they'll have to scatter his ashes in Ibiza') and energetic style.
On the down side, the show lacks shape, plus it would be nice if Howard could slow down on occasion. But you'll find more laughs here than many comedians manage in an entire career. Just dose up on caffeine first.
Until Aug 27 (not Aug 14), Pleasance Courtyard, 9.20pm, £11 to £12.50.
