Get your heart racing and help keep 500 little hearts pumping per year at Great Ormond Street Hospital by taking part in Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity's Festival of Running on Sunday 7 June 2009 at Battersea Park. Supporters can pound the park's paths in a 5K run or take part in the family sports day to help raise funds for a new Heart and Lung Bypass Machine.

The Festival of Running takes place from 9:45am till noon and is designed for every ability and age; providing fun and fitness for all. As well as the 5km run (chip timed) the day will be hugely entertaining with fun running events for children under 10, and a 500m run for children between 8 and 13 years old.

Roving entertainers, prize-giving, face-painting, goodie bags and plenty of refreshments for participants are some of the activities planned to keep runners and supporters on their toes between the races.

To find out more or to register please contact the charity's Challenge Events team on 020 7239 3164 or email: challenges@gosh.org

Registration fees:
5K run - £15.00
Sports day entrance - £8.00
Closing date for postal registration is 3 June 2009 and online registration is 4 June 2009.

The event is kindly supported by Andrew Castle and Linford Christie. Courtney's gym are also keen supporters of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity and are offering two lucky winners a six month pass each to one of their central London clubs.
