Piping Live! will take place from Monday August 11th until Sunday 17th August and will be celebrating its fifth birthday in style with some brand new and exciting events for 2008.

New for 2008 event, Girls and Gracenotes - a full day celebration of piping and the fairer sex on 14th August, featuring recitals and an evening concert from the first ladies of piping including Northumbrian piper, Kathryn Tickell.

Piping Live! 2008 will also see the return of some of the festival's most popular concerts including The International Piping Concert on Friday 15th August at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, The National Youth Pipe Band Concert at George Square and the Gaelic Piping Night on Wednesday 13th August at St. Andrews in the Square.
