10 May 2007
The Strongbow Ciderhouse has teamed up with Thisislondon.co.uk to offer one lucky reader a pair of weekend tickets for the festival including train travel from London and accommodation.
In its fifth year at the festival, the Strongbow Ciderhouse has proved to be a haven for music-lovers seeking that all important first pint refreshment and will be providing some of the finest live music and DJ talent that the world has to offer.
Other acts appearing at the festival include: Kasabian, Snow Patrol, Amy Winehouse, Muse, The Fratellis and the Rolling Stones.
To get the party started, the Friday night line up features Yousef, Barry Ashworth -of Dub Pistols fame, Strongbow resident, Kris Bones and self-confessed bass junkie, Hannah Holland, her signature dirty, bass heavy electro tech house is sure to keep the crowd going into the small hours.
The Saturday line up sees Glasgow-based four-piece Shitdisco's incendiary brand of dance punk / new rave, which is sure to go down a storm. Famous for the club nights held in their drummer's tenement flat, the boys have recently released debut album Kingdom of Fear to great acclaim.
They'll be joined on the bill by underground sensation Kissy Sell Out, recent remixer of Mark Ronson's Stop Me, Radio 1's Mash Up host Annie Mac, dance legend Tall Paul and broken beat pioneers Bugz in the Attic, whose Back in the Doghouse was named among the albums of 2006 by Gilles Peterson.
