History really did repeat itself at The Laurence Olivier Awards 2009 last week, as The History Boys'
Dominic Cooper and
James Corden shared a sneaky cuddle after a night of drinking Duval-Leroy champagne at the Grosvenor House hotel.

Gareth Gates was all smiles as he joined
David Morrissey and
Denis Lawson over the lamb rump dinner to cheer on
Derek Jacobi, who won Best Actor for his Malvolio in the Donmar at Wyndham's Twelfth Night. The Donmar also claimed Best Actress, for
Margaret Tyzack in The Chalk Garden.

The Society's Special Award for Outstanding Contribution was presented by
Kevin Spacey to
Sir Alan Ayckbourn. How do you define an awards ceremony? It really is just one award after another.
