Bond girls and bad guys were at the Grosvenor House hotel for the Jameson Empire Awards...

There was no hint of whisky mist at the Jameson Empire Awards last week, as the film world turned out in force at the Grosvenor House hotel. Gemma Arterton, draped in Halston, won Best Newcomer, while The Dark Knight won three awards, including Best Actor for Welsh crosspatch Christian Bale.

Old pals Tom Hollander, Peter Capaldi and Armando Iannucci ganged up, sipping Jameson cocktails and giggling with Jodie Whittaker and Sean Bean. Lad about town Guy Ritchie snatched the Best British Film award for RocknRolla before heading off to the afterparty at Embassy London on Old Burlington Street.
