Simon Pegg stars as a top city cop reassigned to the country in Hot Fuzz

To celebrate the release of Brit flick Hot Fuzz, the ICA is launching a fortnight of films and talks focusing on the boys in blue.

Hot Fuzz is the latest film from the makers of Shaun Of The Dead and stars Simon Pegg as a top London cop who finds himself reassigned to a sleepy West Country village, which isn't quite as idyllic as it seems.

Hot Fuzztival kicks off at the ICA on 3 February with a screening of James William Guercio's Electra Glide in Blue.

Action fans can also catch John Woo's action-thriller Hard Boiled, Sudden Impact, Clint Eastwood's return as Harry Callahan seven years after Dirty Harry and John Wayne's one and only film set in London, Brannigan, in which Richard Attenborough brings a bit of Western to the East End.

The centrepiece of the Fuzztival will be an exclusive preview of Hot Fuzz on 10 February, introduced by director Edgar Wright and actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, followed by a screening of little-seen 70's New York cop thriller The Super Cops.

Wright will be dj-ing in the ICA bar between films and will be on hand to introduce screenings of several other films in the season.

The Fuzztival will also pay tribute to action maestro Tony Scott, with screenings of Man on Fire and True Romance and Scott will be taking part in an exclusive on-stage interview after the screening of True Romance on 4 February.
