London Australian Film Festival 2007

Now in its 13th year, the Barbican's London Australian Film Festival will showcase the best Australian feature films of 2006/2007.

The Antipodean line-up includes a short film programme in association with Flickerfest, Australia's premiere international short film festival, as well as screenings of award-winning Australian documentaries.

There will be a London edition of Tropfest, the Sydney-based open-air short film festival, and the Barbican's weekly Family Film Club will be going Down Under throughout March with a special programme of Australian children's films and workshops.

This year's Gala Opening film on Thursday 15 March is Jindabyne, a chilling adaptation of a Raymond Carver short starring Gabriel Byrne and Laura Linney.

London Australian Film Festival 2007, Barbican Centre, Silk Street, EC2Y. 15 to 25 March 2007. Visit www.barbican.org.uk/australianfilm for more information
