Tate catches up on Sleep
By This Is London 24.05.07Tate Modern tomorrow throws open its doors for the Long Weekend festival to mark the Bank Holiday. Andy Warhol's first film, Sleep, will be accompanied by the music that inspired it, Erik Satie's work for piano Vexations, 1893. Among the pianists taking part will be Michael Nyman and Gavin Bryars. Other events will include a rare performance by experimental music pioneers Throbbing Gristle, responding to experimental films by Derek Jarman.
