Internationally famous Golson is a trailblazer of the jazz world and shows no sign of letting up despite reaching the grand old age of 78.

In a career now spanning more than 50 years, he has played in many of the world's most famous bands and composed music scores for such luminaries as Ella Fitzgerald, Quincy Jones and Diana Ross.

Additionally, his talents have been used in Mission Impossible and notably the theme tune for the vintage television show M.A.S.H.

The musical giant is playing three nights at Ronnie's from today.
