The Dave Stewart Songbook
14 July, 8.45pm, £45-£65, Tower of London, 0870 405 0448, www.towermusicfestival.co.uk

The famously low-key, sunglasses-wearing sidekick to Annie Lennox in Eurythmics ropes in a huge 30-piece orchestra for this Tower of London Music Festival event.

This is something of a showcase for Stewart's hefty back catalogue, with an impressive set list that includes songs he initially penned for a diverse range of artists such as Mick Jagger, Bob Dylan and Gwen Stefani.

There are also hits from his time in partnership with Lennox, but you sense that on this occasion he will relish stepping out from the shadows and becoming centre of attention.
