Exhibition of Egyptian artefacts
02.08.07Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs
Starts 15 November, £15, The O2 Bubble, 020 7087 7940
It is more than 30 years since this exhibition last came to the capital and expectations are high for the debut show to be held at the new O2 bubble.
The collection features over 130 artefacts and although there will be no famous gold death mask on display, you will be able to view numerous Egyptian treasures aged between 3,000-3,500 years old.
London is the only city to host the treasures and when the Golden Age exhibition previously arrived in 1972, 1.8 million people passed through the British Museum.
Perhaps to cater for a likely rush then, spectators are being advised to pre-register at www.kingtut.org in order not to miss out.

While I Egypt 2 years ago, I walked through the Valley of the Kings. I saw a stone on the ground and picked it up. One side had a half of a cup carved on it. The centre of the cup was hollowed out and very smooth. I would like to find someone who might have a knowledge of what this was meant to be and who might have carved it.

With a single dessert and just two glasses of wine our bill was kept in check - but the effort of doing so was not much fun
