London's annual jazz festival returns with a cracking line-up of both well-established names and up-and-coming musicians from the capital's thriving alternative scene.
Tickets for the gig by saxophone legend Sonny Rollins have sold out already, and those for flamenco king Paco de Lucia are disappearing fast.
One of the biggest draws this year is opening concert, We Love Ella, a tribute to Fitzgerald's life. Stars such as Jamelia, Lea DeLaria perform with the BBC Concert Orchestra to celebrate "The First Lady of Song".
