With ten days of music and family events, the Spitalfields Winter Festival has established itself as a Christmas favourite in the vibrant heart of East London.

Taking place at some splendid buildings, including Christ Church, Wilton's Music Hall and East London Mosque, all concert have tickets available for £5 or less, while many events are free.

This year's highlights include performances from Melvyn Tan, Tasmin Little, Thomas Carroll and Dmitri Ashkenazy, spellbinding traditional Christmas songs from Joglaresa, and the Choir of Gonville & Caius College.

Free events include the community carol service, workshops in gospel singing, bell ringing and a one hour whirlwind tour of traditional Bulgarian, Arabic, Italian, French, Serbian, Hebrew and Spanish music.

The festival supports education and community projects throughout the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
