Words take centre stage

Evening Standard   22 Feb 2008

London's Word Festival

22 February-13 March (www.wegottickets.com)

Fifteen shows in eight great East End venues put the word firmly centre stage over the next few weeks.

Contributors range from author Joshua Ferris to hiphop poet Saul Williams and musician and writer Edward Larrikin.

Comedians Josie Long and Richard Herring also provide humorous turns.

First up on 22 February, Robin Ince hosts a unique lecture, The School for Gifted Children, at Bardens Boudoir in Dalston, using songs and special guests, including Ben Goldacre, to stop his words falling flat.
