Clapham Common will undergo a festival-style makeover this summer as it hosts the annual Get Loaded in the Park event. Returning for its fifth year of indie-rock and electro-dance, the bank holiday gig will attract some of the most popular acts in the music scene. Here's what to expect…

HEADLINING
Iggy & The Stooges are this year's headline band. Having reformed in 2003, The Stooges features original members Ron (guitar) and Scott Asheton (drums), plus Mike Watt on bass and Steve Mackay on Sax. Iggy Pop celebrated his 60th Birthday last year but remains a music icon. The albums - The Stooges, Fun House and Raw Power - and singles I Wanna Be Your Dog and No Fun were all recorded during the group's first spell together between 1967–1974 but they have stood the test of time. With the frontman renowned for wild performances and dubbed the original founder of the stage dive this is likely to be an entertaining show.

MAIN STAGE
Iggy & The Stooges
Supergrass
Gogol Bordello

Supergrass and gypsy punk group Gogol Bordello will warm up the main stage. Supergrass will play a mix of their 90s hits and tracks from their new album Diamond Hoo Ha. With six Top 20 albums under their belts and songs like Alright and Pumping on your Stereo to perform this is a must for Brit Pop fans.
New York's multi-ethnic gypsy punkers Gogol Bordello were described by Phil Jupitus as 'a bit like The Clash and The Pogues having a fight in Eastern Europe.' The group incorporates minor-key accordion and fiddle with cabaret, punk and dub. Ukrainian lead Eugene Hütz's stage antics have earned him a credible reputation.

XFM ARENA
Kate Nash
Reverend & The Makers
The Maccabees
Ipso Facto

London's leading indie/rock station XFM will have its own tent at the event and Brit Award winner Kate Nash is to kick things off. Kate made her mark on the music scene last year with the no.1 album Made of Bricks which is fast approaching a million sales worldwide.
Following Kate will be Sheffield's Reverend & The Makers . The Reverend aka Jon McClure and his band first came to our attention with Top 10 single Heavyweight Champion of the World. Support tours with Arctic Monkeys, The Verve and Ian Brown secured the right fan base.
The Maccabees will also showcase their Colour It In album and XFM's presenters John Kennedy & Eddie Temple Morris are to keep the entertainment following.

TOGETHER/TIMEOUT DANCE STAGE
Gossip
Soulwax
Mylo
The Presets
Boys Noize
Streetlife DJs
Union DJs

Housed at Turnmills until recently Together is a raver's dream. Headlining the stage are Gossip with the ever-outrageous Beth Ditto on lead vocals. Born and raised in Arkansas the band has been welcomed by the British public since Standing In The Way Of Control came to our attention.
Belgium's 2manydjs return for a second year, this time under their Soulwax pseudonym. Performing their acclaimed Nite Versions show (live versions of their remixes for Klaxons, Justice, Digitalism, Daft Punk, LCD, Robbie Williams etc), prepare for something different from the dance group. Mylo's DJ set should also go down well.

You would have thought that ticketed events wouldn't be allowed on a Common. Common land is for everone to access and owned by no one .. a ticketed event will restrict that, and already is 1 month before it gets going and no doubt till a month after the event . Wonder where all the cash is going ... Whos expenses need filling this time

Sounds like a fantastic reason to go away for a few days. Battesea resident within earshot of loud music from Clapham Common.

John Davison, get a life!

I was visiting a friend in Clapham that weekend. I feel that listening to music should be a choice, and that local residents effectively had that choice taken away from them for three days.

Does this really finish at 9pm ? Bit early innit!

Anyway rock on!
