Good life comes to Covent Garden
By Ellen Widdup and Elizabeth Hopkirk, Evening Standard, Evening Standard
Shoppers can enjoy a taste of the “Good Life” at a working allotment in the heart of Covent Garden.

Transformed: a horticultural worker tends to the allotment in Covent Garden
The plot is the centrepiece of the Spring Renaissance festival — designed to bring a bit of countryside to the city. A spokesman said allotments and home-grown fruit and vegetables were back in vogue.
Flowers are also an integral part of the festival and New York-based floral designer Preston Bailey has been adding the final touches to a 25ft pair of peacocks, made from living plants and flowers. A flower market will be held in the west piazza for the next four Saturdays.
