The summer holidays are fast approaching so it's time to start thinking of ways to keep the children occupied. For football fans The David Beckham Academy is a great way to channel their energy; offering one, three or five day courses.

Ever since David Beckham attended the Bobby Charlton Soccer School, he wanted to be a professional footballer. Now he has established his own learning platform, the largest sporting facility of its kind in Europe, to offer others the same chances that he enjoyed as a boy.

From 7th July, the Academy will be running football courses designed for 8 to 15-year-olds, whatever their abilities.

The schemes deliver a range of development skills from understanding the importance of good nutrition to learning new game tactics. Team building games, mini football tournaments and the Academy game will be led by David's hand-selected coaches.

There's also a chance to see Beckham's most prized personal possessions in the Hall of Fame; including boots and shirts worn whilst scoring of his most famous goals as well as his trophy collection.

For parents wishing to relax whilst their children enjoy the Academy, there are plenty of local attractions to visit including the O2 Arena, The Docklands Museum or shopping at Canary Wharf.

The five day course costs £265 and comes with an adidas training kit package. A three day course is £185. For those who want to get a taster of what the Academy is all about the £80 one day option may be better.
