This year's Book Video Awards will see three popular novels for young adults turned into gripping movie-style trailers.

My Sister Jodie written by acclaimed children's author Jacqueline Wilson, Double Cross from Malorie Blackman and Jonathan Stroud's Heroes of the Valley are to undergo the transformation from print to screen.

Designed to change the way people view books, The Book Video Awards is organised by Play.com, The Bookseller, Random House and the National Film and Television School (NFTS).

Three up and coming filmmakers from the NFTS have been carefully selected to transform their chosen text into a trailer including Felix Wiedemann who took part in last year's Book Video Awards. Anna Lavelle and Leevi Lemmetty will be joining Felix as finalists for this year's venture.

The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony on 18 March. But you could help sway the voting process by choosing your favourite trailer online at www.play.com
