Jazz, dinner and Grade II listed surroundings make Saturday nights at 1 Lombard Street deliciously charming.

The Restaurant, Bar and Brasserie has teamed up with Jazz FM Live to create a unique supper club experience, with intimate performances by a host of world-class jazz musicians.

Singers will entertain diners on Saturday nights, with music taken from the Great American Song Book. A seasonal themed menu from Chef Partner Herbert Berger will also be on offer.

Leading vocalist Anita Wardell will open the line up, on Saturday 4 September, with music from the American song-writing duo Rogers and Hammerstein and The Alex Garnett Quartet will follow, on Saturday 11 September, with their dedication to George Gershwin.

John Critchinson, one of the most revered pianists in the history of British Jazz, will head up his eponymous trio on Saturday 25 September, with the wonderful music of Cole Porter, while male vocalist Atila will entertain diners with songs from Johnny Mercer, on Saturday 2 October.

Chef Partner Herbert Berger said: “Our customers are always wowed by the dining experience we deliver, which is why, after more than a decade, we're still considered to be the very best in the City.

"I think the jazz will add an extra dimension to that experience, which will make Saturday nights at 1 Lombard Street a must-try for any Londoner.”

Diners can choose from the à la Carte or the Jazz' set menu (3 courses for £21.50).

1 Lombard Street, London, EC3V 9AA, Doors open at 6.30pm each Saturday for dinner. Performances start at approximately 8.30pm. £15 entrance fee. 020 7929 6611
