            David Walliams as James Bond

Licence to thrill: David Walliams as James Bond

Here's Little Britain star David Walliams as ultimate ladies' man James Bond.

He emulates Sean Connery's classic 007 pose in these pictures for the Radio Times and gets to grips with the jet pack Bond used in the film Thunderball.

The TV star and 007 fan is to host ITV1 documentary My Life With James Bond next month.

'I would still love to be in a Bond film. But I think I've blown that by going on TV wearing a dress,' Walliams said.

The documentary is timed to celebrate the release of new Bond film Casino Royale, starring Daniel Craig.

Walliams said of Craig: 'He's probably one of the most gifted actors to play the part.'

I agree that Dan is one of the most intense and gifted actors to come out of the UK for a long time and he shows great courage and versatility in taking up this "poisoned chalice" of a role. Broccoli et al made an inspiring choice in Dan knowing full well that only he could take the role where they wanted it to go and look great doing it! If anyone is in any doubt of this man's talent, check out some of his past performances, most notably, "Love is the Devil", "Enduring Love", "The Mother", "Layer Cake" and his role as Perry Smith in "Infamous" which highly deserves a Bafta/Oscar nod.

Rock on Dan, you gorgeous man!

I'm looking forward to this

I'm glad Daniel Craig has the support of Sir Sean Connery and others. It has been an uphill struggle to acceptance... but Dr Blockbuster knows the film will be a BLOCKBUSTER.
