Kitchen W8
Too long and drawn out but very entertaining with excellent special effects
This is a peculiar play and does not work for me. Some of it is very funny but there are real flaws
Alex has a strong powerful voice and was faultless, she is far better now than she was on the X-Factor

Dir: Ed Blum.
Cast: Ewan McGregor, Douglas Hodge, Adrian Lester, Catherine Tate
Description: Racy title, racy premise - it must be a polite British romcom. To be fair, this was made on a shoestring and doesn't look like it. And there are some biggish names (Ewan McGregor, Gina McKee, Adrian Lester, Catherine Tate) to be found among the "one sunny day in the park" mutliple storylines.

Ewan McGregor stars in Scenes of a Sexual Nature
Director Ed Blum has collected a pretty good cast for his exploration of the trials and tribulations of seven couples on Hampstead Heath.
Unfortunately he has given them little or nothing to do. This is a film that promises to deliver something memorable but never does.
A pity, since Hugh Bonneville and Eileen Atkins, as two oldies sounding each other out on a bench, are surely worth more than the insipid dialogue they are given.
And Catherine Tate and Adrian Lester as a divorcing couple are also worth a sterner examination.
I will draw a veil over Ewan McGregor's gay blade who wants to adopt and then runs off into the bushes with another when his partner declines to contemplate children. Scenes of a Sexual Nature is clearly trying for charm rather than eroticism, but it badly needs a sharper screenplay than this.
