Kitchen W8
Too long and drawn out but very entertaining with excellent special effects
This is a peculiar play and does not work for me. Some of it is very funny but there are real flaws
Alex has a strong powerful voice and was faultless, she is far better now than she was on the X-Factor

Pussycat: Christopher Lee as a charming Count Dracula
Yes, it's more than a bit kitschy in places but Terence Fisher's 1958 adaptation of the Bram Stoker story has the benefit of Christopher Lee as a more charming than usual Count, who comes down the staircase of his Gothic mansion to welcome Harker with grave politesse, and Peter Cushing, his old cinematic partner, as Van Helsing.
More than that, it is well-mounted and has an opening sequence that still looks stunning.
This is a new print, confirming that the French were right to regard Fisher as an auteur long before we appreciated him properly.
A classic of the genre? Not quite. But far better than a good number of the Bram Stoker movies that followed.
