Anodyne French comedy

This popular French comedy has Alain Chabat as a bachelor who is plagued by his awful family to get married and hires Charlotte Gainsbourg's free spirit to pose as his fiancée but desert him on the wedding day.
This duly happens but - wouldn't you know it? - the pair of shysters are beginning to fall in love. Eric Lantigau's film is lively and performed with some skill by Chabat, though Gainsbourg looks miscast.
But it is a fairly anodyne and, if you like French movies, The Singer is a better prospect.
