Asterix At The Olympic Games (Asterix Aux Jeux Olympiques)

Cert: PG

Description: Gallant young Gaul Alafolix falls deliriously in love with a Greek princess called Irina and vows to win her heart by proving his strength and agility at the Olympic Games. Unfortunately, Alafolix isn't a naturally gifted athlete so he needs one of the wise druid Miraculix's potions to bolster his spirits. Naturally, the use of magic is forbidden in the Olympics, so Asterix and Obelix concoct a daring, alternative plan.

The third and latest addition to the liveaction Asterix franchise is the stinkiest of the lot.

The plot involves a puny Gaul's attempt to win the Olympic Games so he can marry the beautiful princess of Greece.

The potion-enchanced Asterix (Clovis Cornillac) and Obelix (Gérard Depardieu) vow to help Lovestorix (Stephane Rousseau).

The one actor who makes an impression is Alain Delon as Caesar, who just about keeps the viewer from succumbing to death-by-boredom.
