Produced, written and directed by Christopher Jaymes, this Los Angeles-based independent film, shot on a shoestring, has a dying Hollywood legend bribing his sons (Jeremy Sisto and Matt Keeslar) to document his death while his fickle and much younger girlfriend (Judy Greer) looks on.

Much praised in America, where one critic described it as “Cassavetes if Cassavetes were warm, and Robert Altman if Altman were funny”, it has a certain caustic irony. But its offhand attempts at originality would make Cassavetes and Altman, both great film-makers, swivel in their graves.
